Minister of Public Security attends a ceremony to start casting of a copper statue of General Trần Hưng Đạo in Nha Trang city

On September 4th, 2014, General Trần Đại Quang, member of Politburo, Minister of Public Security, the Khanh Hoa province’s leaders attended a ceremony to start the casting of a copper statue of General Trần Hưng Đạo
One month earlier, more than 30 artists from Thang Long Trading and Art Co. Ltd, Hanoi city have completed the mould for casting of bronze statue. The body of statue, 5.8 m in height and 10 tons in weight, will be made of copper, with the base of 4.1m in height.

Once completed, the statue will be placed in Bach Dang Park in Tran Phu street, Vinh Nguyen ward, Nha Trang city, replacing the current cement statue.
Two kilns serve the casting of General Trần Hưng Đạo statue
In 1289, General Trần Hưng Đạo was conferred the title Hung Dao Dai Vuong, then he retired to Van Kiep commune (Hung Dao Commune, Chi Linh town, Hai Duong province). The Vietnam generations honored General Trần Hưng Đạo as "Tran Saint" and built worshipping temples in many places, and the most famous temple is Kiep Bac temple in Hung Dao commune, Chi Linh town, Hai Duong province where he established military bases and trained troops for the wars against the Mongol army.
