The Central Executive Committee of Minh Su Theravada Buddhist Church successfully held on Jun 12 the 3rd national congress at the central executive committee’s office located in Ho Chi Minh City’s Binh Chanh district.
Attending the congress included members of the church’s elders council and central executive committee and 300 delegates representing followers of Minh Su Theravada Buddhist temples in 18 provinces and cities.
Director of Caodai Affairs Department under the Government Committee for Religious Affairs Nguyễn Đắc Tuấn was amongst local guests at the event.

The one-day congress reviewed the church’s activities in the 2nd term and approved the working plans for the 2018-2023 term. The congress also passed the church’s charter and elected members to the new-term of the central executive committee for 2018-2023 tenure.
As reported, during the 2013-2018 tenure, the Minh Su Theravada Buddhist church spent nearly VND 30 billion on new construction, renovation and repair of worshipping places, and VND 6 billion on charity programs.
