The Southwest Steering Committee in collaboration with Can Tho city Party Committee held a meeting with religious dignitaries and deacons in the city on August 20.
Attending the meeting included Vice Chairman of the Southwest Steering Committee Nguyễn Quốc Việt, Vice Chairman of the Can Tho city People’s Committee Lê Văn Tâm and over 200 dignitaries, prestigious people and officials in the city .
During the event, Vice Chairman of the Can Tho city People’s Committee Lê Văn Tâm informed of socio-economic situation, security and order issues and results of implementation of policies on religion and ethnic minorities. He also shared with participants about the history and characteristics of the Southern lands as well as traditional solidarity between religions and ethnic groups
On the same day, the Southwest Steering Committee in collaboration with Vinh Long Party Committee held a similar meeting with the attendance of more than 200 dignitaries, prestigious people and local officials.
