Mai An Tiêm festival 2021 will take place on April 23-24 (the 12th – 13th of the third lunar month) at Mai An Tiem temple historical and cultural relic site located in Thanh Hoa province’s Nga Son district.
Due to the Covid-19 epidemic, this year festival will be held without festive activities, and with a strictly implementation of the 5K recommendation of the health sector for the epidemic prevention.
The festival aims to honor Mai An Tiêm who according to legend transformed a desert island into an agricultural land now known as Nga Son district, to introduce and promote the cultural and historical values of the Mai An Tiem temple relic site and the legend of Mai An Tiem and red watermelon.
