Lang Son province: provincial Buddhist Executive Committee visits and presents gifts to boarding school pupils of ethnic minorities

On August 28, Lang Son provincial Vietnam Buddhist Sangha Executive Committee in collaboration with Lang Son provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee and Youth Union of Lang Son province visited and presented gifts to pupils at the primary boarding school for children of ethnic minorities in Nhat Tien commune, Bac Son province.
At the inaugurating ceremony of the school, Venerable Thích Bản Chung, Vice Chairman of Lang Son provincial Vietnam Buddhist Sangha Executive Committee presented 20 winter blankets to pupils in the school.
It’s reported that this school belongs to a commune ranked as one of the poorest localities in Lang Son province, with hundreds of kilometer away from the provincial center and difficult transportation. Children in this commune have for many years faced with difficulties with regards to education access.
