Lam Kinh festival 2017 opens in Thanh Hoa province

A ceremony to mark the 599th anniversary of Lam Son Insurrection, the 584th death anniversary of King Lê Thái Tổ and inaugurate Lam Kinh main worshipping complex was launched in Thanh Hoa province’s Tho Xuan district on October 11.

The event saw the participation of Deputy Secretary of provincial Party Committee Đỗ Minh Tuấn, representatives of local authorities and large numbers of locals and visitors.

Lam Kinh special national historical relic with numerous monuments and mausoleums was built on an area of 200 ha. After nearly 600 years of existence, the original Lam Kinh historical relic was seriously damaged. Given support and funding from the state authorities and sponsors, the restoration Lam Kinh special national historical site has been started since 20 years ago for preservation and promotion of the original value of the historical site.

The inaugurated Lam Kinh worshipping complex as the main part of the historical site comprises of  three temples of Quang Duc (front temple), Sung Hieu (middle temple) and Dien Khanh (lower temple) on a total area of 1,780m2.
