The Archdiocese of Hue has announced on July 27 the indefinite postponement of the 32nd national Congress of Our Lady of La Vang due to the outbreak of Covid-19 in Da Nang city as well as the Central region.
The event was scheduled to take place from August 12 to 15 at Basilica of Our Lady of La Vang in Quang Tri’s Hai Lang district.
This is a religious cultural festival not only for Catholics but also people in the Central region.
In the notification of Hue Archdiocese, Archbishop Joseph Nguyễn Chí Linh expressed his regret for the indefinite postponement of the festival.
This is the first time that the Congress of Our Lady of La Vang has been delayed.
