Ky Yen Thuong Dien Festival– Tan An communal house in Can Tho kicks off

The management board of Tan An communal house in Can Tho city officially opened its festival on December 11.

Performing religious rites

This year, the festival has been taking place from December 11 to 13 (from 18th to 20th of the 11th lunar month) with traditional rites.

According to Head of the management board of the communal house Nguyễn Quang Duy, the festival aimed to pay gratitude for the ancestors and prays for favorable weather, bumper crops.

Tan An communal house in Cai Khe of Ninh Kieu district built in 1880, is one of the oldest communal houses in Can Tho city, the new communal house was built in 2015.
