On May 8, a delegation from Kon Tum provincial government led by Deputy Secretary of the provincial Party Committee A Pớt paid visits to the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha Executive Committee, Bac Ai pagoda and Ngoc Tho monastery on occasion of the Buddha’s Birthday Festival 2017 – B.E. 2561.
During the visiting receptions, while extending best wishes to Buddhist dignitaries, monks, nuns and followers in the province, Deputy Secretary A Pớt expressed his hope that local Buddhist dignitaries would further encourage followers to actively join local movements, contributing to the development of the locality.
On this occasion, representatives from the provincial Committee for Religious Affairs also visited and extended Vesak greetings to Buddhist establishments in the province.
