Kien Giang province: Thnol Chum pagoda inaugurates its preaching hall

The preaching hall of Thnol Chum pagoda in Go Quao district inaugurated in a ceremony held on March 24-25, following the traditional ritual of Khmer Theravada Buddhism.

Attending the ceremony were representatives of the provincial Vietnam Buddhist Sangha Executive Committee, Buddhists in Thuy Lieu pagoda and local authorities.

Currently, this pagoda has a main worshipping temple, 5 residence houses, 1 preaching hall (Sala hall) and a kitchen.

Sala hall in Thnol Chum pagoda was built in 2011 on a total construction area of 567m2 and completed after nearly 4 years of construction with an estimated cost of over 4.7 billion VND which have entirely been contributed by the pagoda’s Buddhists and benefactors.
