Nha Si Cu Pagoda in Kien Giang province’s Giong Rieng district inaugurated its main worshipping hall at a ceremony held on April 24.
Attending the ceremony were Venerable Abbot of the pagoda Danh Quol, and large numbers of followers in the locality.
Vice Chairman of the provincial Committee for Religious Affairs Danh Lắm and representatives from local authorities also joint the event.

Nha Si Cu Pagoda is one of 76 Khmer pagodas in the province. It was established in 1733 and has been upgraded many times. The reconstruction of the pagoda’s worshipping hall was started in 2005 according to the Khmer architectural style. The total construction cost was over 3.5 billion VND, entirely contributed by Buddhists.

The ceremony lasts four days with many religious rituals and activities of Khmer Theravada tradition.
