Kien Giang province: Buddhist practices and training at Ashramas opened

Kien Giang provincial Vietnam Buddhist Sangha Executive Committee held an opening ceremony for Buddhist practices and training at Ashramas at Phat Quang pagoda in Rach Gia city on March 8.

Attending the ceremony were members of the provincial VBS Executive Committee; Heads of pagodas, monasteries; and Buddhist monks, nuns and followers in the locality.

Local guests at this event included representatives from the provincial Religious Affairs Committee,  provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee, and local authorities of Rach Gia city.

It’s reported that Kien Giang province currently has 55 Ashramas under the monasteries, pagodas in the locality with regular practices and training held for local Buddhists.
