Kien Giang province: Association for Solidarity of Patriotic Buddhist monks reviews six-month performance

The Association for Solidarity of Patriotic Buddhist monks in Kien Giang province held a conference on July 8 to review results of activities in the first six month and approve the plan for the last six months of 2016 at Lang Cat Pagoda in Rach Gia city.
Attending the event included Vice Chairman of the provincial Committee for Religious Affairs Danh Lắm and Vice Chairman of the provincial Committee for Ethnic Affairs Danh Hoàng Duyên.
According to the conference report, under guidance of the Association, local Buddhist dignitaries and followers contributed over VND 4 billion to social, charitable activities in the locality.
During the event, Vice Chairman Danh Hoàng Duyên praised the Association for Solidarity of Patriotic Buddhist monks for its social, charitable contributions and urged the Association to further encourage its members and Buddhist countrymen in the province to well implement the State laws and policies in the coming time.
