Khmer pagoda in Soc Trang inaugurates main worshipping temple

The Association for Solidarity of Patriotic Buddhist Monks in Soc Trang province in collaboration with Thnol Thmay pagoda’s management board held a ceremony for inaugurating the pagoda’s new main worshipping temple.  

Taking part in the event included Chairman of the provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Dương Khà Sa, Standing Vice Chairman of the provincial Association for Solidarity of Patriotic Buddhist Monks Most Venerable Tăng Nô, and Buddhist dignitaries and followers from localities.

The main worshipping temple has been completed after 16 years of construction. The temple was built in unique architectural styles of Khmer Theravada Buddhism and at a total cost of over 8.5 billion VND.

For Khmer Theravada Buddhism, the main worshipping temple is the holist place in a Buddhist pagoda where the worship of the Three Jewels, ordination of Buddhist monks, the Buddhist robe offering, etc. take place.
