Khanh Hoa province: Construction of Protestant church kicks off

On March 30, Khanh Vinh Protestant Church under the General Confederation of Evangelical Churches of Vietnam (ECVN) (Southern) in Cau Ba commune, Khanh Vinh district held a ground-breaking ceremony for construction of its church.

The ceremony was presided by Pastor Bùi Phụng, Member of the ECVN, and attended by representatives of local authorities, Protestant dignitaries, deacons and about 300 followers in the locality.

Khanh Vinh Protestant Church was established before 1975 with a group of believers who were Tring, K'ho and Raglai ethnic people. Currently, the church has over 6,800 followers.

It’s reported that, Khanh Hoa provincial authorities has granted an area of 4,300 m2 of land for the Church to build a church in order to meet legitimate needs of the Church’s followers. The construction cost is estimated at over 5 billion VND./.
