On October 24, 2013, the Kha Canh chapter (Church) of the Evangelical Church of Vietnam (Northern) in Hong Tien commune, Kien Xuong district, the northern province of Thai Binh held a ceremony to mark the 80th founding anniversary and appoint its new administrator.
Attending the ceremony were representatives from the local authorities and the Evangelical Church including pastor Nguyễn Hữu Mạc – Church President, pastor Bùi Văn Sản – First Vice President, pastor Phùng Quang Huyến – Second Vice President and pastor Hoàng Văn Luân – Treasurer General together with more than 500 followers in other northern chapters and guests.
Coping with difficulties in early stages, lack of theological leaders and destruction of the Church by natural disasters, the chapter now has the most beautiful church in the north with nearly 100 believers. On this occasion, the Church welcomed its new administrator – Licenced Minister Lê Hải Dương. At the ceremony, on behalf of the Church, pastor Phùng Quang Huyến proclaimed and presented the pastoral decision, and pastor Nguyễn Hữu Mạc handed over the seal of the chapter to the new administrator./.
