A ceremony for inauguration of a reading room and Cham language classroom for ethnic minorities at the Islah Mosque located in Binh Son commune of Dong Nai province’s Long Thanh district was held on September 3.

The construction of reading room and two classrooms on an area of nearly 170m2 was started on May 30, 2022.
The total construction with the investment of 736 million VND was raised by Long Thanh district (500 million VND) and the mosque (236 million VND). In addition, locals in Binh Son commune and the armed forces in the locality have contributed more than 100 working days during the construction.

Hakim Ho Do Sen of Islah Mosque shared that Binh Son commune currently has about 140 Cham families with 400 people.

On this occasion, the Military Command of the district presented five charity houses with an investment of 80-130 million VND each for disadvantaged families in the commune.
