The Islamic community in Ninh Thuan province convened on August 16-17 its 3rd congress for the 2022-2027 tenure.

The event taking place in Phan Rang - Thap Cham City saw the presence of Director of the Belief and Other Religions Department under the Government Committee for Religious Affairs Trần Thị Minh Thu, Chairwoman of the provincial Commission for Mass Mobilization Chamalé Thị Thủy, Deputy Director of the provincial Home Affairs Department Trương Thanh Long, and representatives from the provincial Executive Committee under the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha, the Bani Islamic community’s Dignitary Council and Cham Brahmin Dignitary Council in the province.
At the congress
The two-day congress reviewed religious affairs of the Islamic community in the province during the last five years, and set out key plans for the 3rd tenure, as well as elected the new 13-member representative committee of the Islamic community for 2022-2027 tenure.

During the congress, the provincial People’s Committee in Ninh Thuan presented certificates of recommendation to the Islamic community’s representative committee in the 2017-2022 term and four individuals for their practical contributions for the socio-economic development and the environmental protection in the locality.
