Attending the congress were Chairman of the Representative Committee Thành Thanh Tâm, all members of the Representative Committee, and about 81delegates representing followers in the province.

Guests at the event included Director the Other Various Religions Deparment under the Government Committee for Religious Affairs Nguyễn Ánh Chức, representatives from Dignitary Council of Bani Islamic Community and local authorities in the locality.

The congress focused on discussion of results of social and religious activities of the Representative Committee in the province in the first term (2012-2017) as well as mapped out working plans for next term. The event also elected 14 members to the new-term Representative Committee of the Islamic Community in the province for 2017-2022 tenure, with Mr. Thành Thanh Tâm reelected as the Committee Chairman.

On this occasion, local authorities presented certificates of merit to one group and one individual of the Islamic community for their social and charitable contributions during the 2012-2017 term.
