The authorities of Tan Ky district in the central province of Nghe An has formally inaugurated a temple dedicated to Lê Lợi, who later crowned as King Lê Thái Tổ, during Buon Xao Festival and on occasion of 602nd anniversary of Lam Son Uprising.
Buon Xao Festival in Tien Ky commune of Tan Ky district is held annually, bearing deep features of Thai ethnic minority community in Nghe An and honoring an important history of Lam Son uprising. Tien Ky is part of an historical region where Lam Son solders led by Lê Lợi chose as the rear for famous battles, such as Bo Dang and Tra Lan, against Minh invaders.
For better preservation and promotion of the cultural and historical heritage associated with Buon Xao festival, in 2018, the authorities of Tan Ky district approved a project for recreating the Lê Lợi Castle historical relic site. The first phase of the project is the construction of a four-roof temple worshiping Lê Lợi and it has been completed at an investment of one billion VND.
