Trang Bon Catholic community in Nam Hung commune of Nghe An province’s Nam Dan district held on October 8 a solemnly ceremony for inaugurating its new church.
Attending the ceremony included Bishop of Vinh Diocese Alfonso Nguyễn Hữu Long, priests, and large numbers of Catholic followers from Trang Bon and other Catholic communities under Trang Den parish.
Trang Bon Catholic community was established in 2010. The community currently has 64 households with 247 Catholic followers.
Performing religious ritual at the church’s inauguration
The new church has 37 meters long, 14.5 meters wide and 37 meters high of the church’s bell tower. It has been completed after eight years of construction at the total cost of nearly seven VND billion.
