Inauguration and consecration of Protestant Churches in provinces of Bac Lieu, Gia Lai, Lam Dong

In Bac Lieu province, the Bac Lieu Protestant Church inaugurated and consecrated its new church at a ceremony held on March 20.

Attending the ceremony were Pastor Phan Vĩnh Cự, President of the General Confederation of Evangelical Churches of Vietnam (ECVN) (Southern), representatives of local authorities and about 700 followers.

Bac Lieu Protestant church has been built with 27m long, 16m wide, its bell tower of 24,5m in height, and with a capacity of 500 seats. The total construction cost was 6.2 billion VND.

In Gia Lai province, a ceremony was solemnly held for the inauguration and consecration of the Plei Chan Protestant church in Duc Co district on March 14. The event was attended by Pastor Thái Phước Trường, Vice President of the ECVN (Southern) and Protestant dignitaries, deacons and followers in the Church.

To create a worshipping place for over 1,200 Protestants in Plei Chan Church, Gia Lai provincial authorities have approved for the Church to built its new church in an area of 2,389m2 with 28m long, 14.4m wide and 12m high. The total construction cost was 1.3 billion VND.

In Lam Dong province, Da Tham Protestant Church held a ceremony for inauguration and consecration of its new church on March 19.

Attending the ceremony were Pastor Nguyễn Hữu Bình, Vice President of the ECVN (Southern) and Protestant dignitaries, deacons and followers in the Church. It’s reported that, the local authorities has granted  land for the Protestant congregation to build its worshipping facility in order to meet legitimate needs of the Church’s followers, and the church was completed after nearly a year of construction.
