Also on February 8, Đặng Văn Cảnh, Deputy Chairman of My Duc district’s People’s Committee, said that the re-opening of Huong Son complex, including Huong Pagoda, is the desire of both local authorities and people, and tourists to express their beliefs and spirituality.
Cảnh confirmed that My Duc district has made thorough preparation on disease prevention to welcome back visitors.
The annual spring festival at the special relic site was temporarily suspended during the lunar New Year (Tet) festival to curb the spread of the COVID-19 pandemic in line with directions from the city administration.
Apart from the approval of the reopening of the Huong Son complex, the Hanoi municipal People’s Committee has also approved a proposal of the Hanoi Department of Culture and Sports to allow cinemas and theaters in the capital city to reopen from February 10.
