Huong pagoda gets ready for reopening

The departments of health, culture and sport and the committee for religious affairs of Hanoi had on March 5 a working session with My Duc District’s authorities to check plans for epidemic prevention and control at Huong pagoda and preparations for reopening.  

In order to ensure safety for visitors, the Management Board of Huong Son relic site has closely worked with relevant departments for enforcing preventive measures against Covid-19 epidemic including the communication works, training on preventive measures against the pandemic, checking points at entrance and exit of the relic site.

In order to prepare safe conditions for reopening the relic site, according to Vice Chairman of My Duc district People's Committee Đặng Văn Cảnh, the district authorities has requested the management board of Huong Son relic site to design an additional plan for the Covid-19 pandemic prevention at the festival.

The plan emphasizes specific solutions of each unit such as maintaining 24-hour check; reminding visitors to strictly follow the 5K message of the Ministry of Health, strengthening inspection, promptly handling violations of pandemic prevention, etc.

100% visitors and all employees of the relic site must wear masks while going to the relic site. In addition, visitors would carry out online health declaration QR code at entrance of the relic site, restaurants, and other public places, Vice Chairman Đặng Văn Cảnh said.

As concluded at the meeting, the Center for Disease Control of Hanoi would propose to the municipal authorities on the reopening of the relic site. The Centre also asked My Duc district authorities and the management board of the relic site to continue deploying pandemic prevention measures at Huong pagoda in particular and religious establishments in general in the district.
