Hung Thoai Temple under the Pure-Land Buddhist Association in An Giang holds general meeting

Hung Thoai Temple located in An Giang province’s Thoai Son district under the Pure-Land Buddhist Association held on April 13 the general meeting for the 2018 – 2023 tenure.
Attending the event were Vice Chairman of the provincial Executive Committee of the Pure-Land Buddhist Association Trần Thành Tuấn, representatives from local authorities and 50 delegates representing members and followers of the Buddhist association in Thoai Son district.
The meeting discussed results of social-religious activities of the district executive board of the association in the district during the past term as well as elected 9 members to the board for the 2018 – 2023 tenure with Mr. Nguyễn Tôn Hoàng selected as Head of the executive board.
According to the meeting report, during the 2013-2018 tenure, medical charities of the Buddhist association, including free medical examinations, distribution of traditional medicine packs and acupuncture, was valued at over VND 670 million.
