Hung Phuong Temple chapter of Pure-Land Buddhist Association in Kien Giang holds general meeting

Hung Phuong Temple chapter in Tien Giang province’s Ha Tien town under the Pure-Land Buddhist Association held the 3rd general meeting on June 19.
Attending the event were Chairman of the provincial Executive Committee of the Pure-Land Buddhist Association Thái Thành Tâm, representative from the executive boards of the Buddhist association’s chapters in the province and 60 delegates representing dignitaries, deacons and followers of the Hung Phuong Temple chapter.
Local guests at the event opening ceremony included Vice Chairman of the provincial Committee for Religious Affairs Trương Hoàng Anh and representatives from local authorities.
New executive board for 2018 – 2023 tenure makes its debut
The one-day event elected the new executive board of the Buddhist chapter for the 2018 – 2023 tenure with Mr. Phạm Văn Phong selected as Head of the board.
According to the meeting report, during the 2013-2018 tenure, the Hung Phuong Temple chapter contributed nearly VND 1.7 billion to social charities.
