Hung Hoa diocese, VBS in Phu Tho extend Tet greetings to local authorities

A delegation of Hung Hoa diocese led by Archbishop Nguyễn Văn Viên and the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha (VBS)’s Executive Committee in Phu Tho province headed by Senior Venerable Thích Minh Nghiêm visited on January 22 to Phu Tho provincial authorities, ahead of Lunar New Year (Tet) 2021.  

The religious delegation was welcomed by Vice Chairman of the provincial People’ Committee Hồ Đại Dũng and representatives from the provincial Religious Affairs Committee and concerning agencies.

During the visit, Archbishop Nguyễn Văn Viên and Senior Venerable Thích Minh Nghiêm extended Tet greetings to provincial authorities and people, as well as expressed hope to receive further attention and favorable conditions from provincial authorities for religious practices in the locality in the coming times.

Speaking with the guests, Vice Chairman of the provincial People’ Committee Hồ Đại Dũng highly appreciated practical contributions made by religious communities to the socio-economic development of the province over the past years and extended best wishes to leaders and members of Hung Hoa diocese and the VBS in the province, ahead of Lunar New Year 2021.
