On Oct. 19, Priest Director of Hue Caritas’s Office Anton Nguyễn Ngọc Hà paid a charity visit to Trung Quan Parish in Quang Binh province for helping Catholics to overcome the consequences of recent natural disasters.
Joining the charitable visit included Priest Peter Võ Xuân Tiến, professor of Sulpician Seminary in Hue city.
During the visit, Hue Caritas and Major Seminary presented 200 gift boxes, worth VND 400 thousand each box, to flood-hit families in the parish.
According to Superintendent of Trung Quan Parish Paul Nguyễn Chí Thiện, the parish is home to nearly 1,200 Catholic followers from three communities of Hoanh Pho, Phuc Tin and Binh Thon; and Trung Quan Parish is one of 17 Catholic parishes in Quang Binh province heavily affected by floods last week.
