A charity group of Hoang Phuc pagoda in Quang Binh province has visited and sent supports to Catholic followers badly affected by floods in Van Phu parish in Ba Don town’s Quang Van commune and Dong Dung community in the town’s Quang Minh commune.
Joining the charity group included Chairman of the provincial Religious Committee Trần Đức Thủy; Venerable Thích Khải Đạo, Vice Chairman of the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha chapter’s Executive Board in Le Thuy district in charge of Hoang Phuc pagoda, and several Buddhist followers.
Receiving the charity group were Priest Michael Hồ Thái Bạch, in charge of Dong Dung community and Priest John Nguyễn Văn Hữu, Head of Van Phu parish.
During the trip, the pagoda presented 120 gift sets, each containing one life jacket and 300,000 VND in cash to local parishioners, and with the total value of 50 million VND.
