The annual festival of Hoang Phuc pagoda - a national historical site located in My Thuy commune, Le Thuy district, Quang Binh province took place from February 23-24.
The festival is held by the People’s Committee in Le Thuy district and the management board of the pagoda.
Attending the event was Standing Vice Chairwoman of the provincial People’s Council Nguyễn Thị Thanh Hương, Vice Chairman of the provincial People’s Committee Nguyễn Tiến Hoàng, representatives from provincial authorities, Buddhists and locals in the province.
The two-day festival featured series of traditional activities such as the release of living creatures, water procession, prayers for peace and prosperity and candlelight ceremony as well as folk games (tug of war, Chinese chess, volleyball, etc).
