The central Executive Committee of Hoa Hoa Buddhist Church held on November 4 the ground-breaking ceremony for construction of its training school in Tan Trung commune, An Giang province’s Phu Tan district.
Attending the event included Deputy Minister of Home Affairs Vũ Chiến Thắng, Vice Chairman of the Government Committee for Religious Affairs Nguyễn Ánh Chức, Vice Chairman of the provincial People’s Committee Lê Văn Phước, representatives from local authorities, and a large number of Hoa Hao Buddhists in the locality.
As reported at the event, the Hoa Hao Buddhist school located in Tan Trung commune, Phu Tan district will be built on an area of about 1.382 m2,. The total construction cost of Hoa Hao Buddhist school is estimated at over 47 billion VND to be raised from Hoa Hao Buddhists and donors, and expected to be completed in 2022 after three phrases of construction.
The school’s main facilities include buildings for classrooms, function rooms, executive office, accommodations for students, etc.

Addressing at the event, Deputy Minister Vũ Chiến Thắng extended congratulations to the Hoa Hoa Buddhist Church and its members. He expressed hope that upon completion, the school would offer intermediate programs for enhancing Hoa Hoa Buddhists’ understanding in religious tenets, rules and rites, contributing to meet developing needs in the new period with the motto “for Dharma – for Nation”.
