The Hoa Hao Buddhist Church’s meeting place in Hoa Hung commune in Tien Giang province’s Cai Be district official made its debut at a ceremony held on May 28.

Present at the event included Vice Chairman of the Central Executive Committee of Hoa Hao Buddhist Church Lê Ngọc Lợi, Head of the Hoa Hao Buddhist Church’s representative board in Tien Giang province Võ Văn Thưởng and Hoa Hao Buddhists in localities.
Local guests at the event included Vice Chairman of the provincial Committee for Religious Affairs Trần Văn Khuê and Vice Chairwoman of the People’s Committee in Cai Be district Phạm Thị Tại.
As reported, Hoa Hung commune currently has 100 Hoa Hao Buddhists and local authorities have approved for Hoa Hao Buddhist Church to establish a Hoa Hao Buddhist management board in Hoa Hoa commune in 2011. Recently, due to the expansion of road to My Thuan bridge, the Hoa Hao Buddhist meeting place was relocated worshiping place to Binh village of Cai Be district’s Hoa Hung commune.
On the occasion, the Hoa Hao Buddhist Church’s executive board in Hoa Hung commune presented 150 sets of essential supplies, worth 22.5 million VND in total, to disadvantaged households in Hoa Hung commune and neighboring communes.
