The Hoa Hao Buddhism’s Executive Board in Tan My commune, Dong Thap province’s Thanh Binh district held on May 28 a ceremony for launching a club established for garbage collection and environmental protection.
The Buddhist club headed by Chairman of the communal Hoa Hao Buddhism’s Executive Board Nguyễn Văn Chinh currently has 30 members.
The establishment of the club aims to enhance people’s awareness on environmental protection, and promote the leading role of Hoa Hao Buddhist followers in garbage collection and other practical activities contributing to environmental protection in the locality.
