According the notification, the celebration of Hoa Hao Buddhism’s founding anniversary in June 27 at worshipping places and headquarters of Hoa Hao Buddhist chapter in provinces and cities, as well as processions and religious gatherings will be canceled. Hoa Hao Buddhist worshipping places can make decorations but Hoa Hao Buddhists are requested to celebrate the festival at home.

Early, the Hoa Hao Buddhist Church’s central executive committee on May 10 sent a formal note on the observation of prevention measures against the new context of Covid-19 pandemic to members of the Hoa Hao Buddhist’s central executive committee, religious deacons of executive and representative boards of Hoa Hao Buddhist chapters in provinces and cities, management boards of Hoa Hao worshipping places and all Hoa Hao Buddhist followers, requesting Hoa Hao Buddhist deacons and followers to practice the religion mainly at home.

As reported, the Founding Anniversary of Hoa Hao Buddhism (18^th of the fifth lunar month) and the Birthday of Hoa Hao Buddhism’s founder (25^th of the eleventh lunar month) are two important events of Hoa Hao Buddhist church.
