The Executive Committee of Hoa Hao Buddhist Church held a meeting on July 29th to review religious activities in the first six months of 2016 in An Hoa Tu temple An Giang province.
The conference was chaired by Chairman of the Central Executive Committee of Hoa Hao Buddhist Church Nguyễn Tấn Đạt and attended by 23 out of 27 members of the Executive Committee and representatives from the Hoa Hao Buddhist Church in provinces not having representatives in the Executive Committee.
Distinguished guests at the event included Deputy Director of Southern Religious Affairs Department under the Government Committee for Religious Affairs Phạm Văn Thuận and Chairman of the provincial Committee for Religious Affairs Lê Nguyên Châu.
As reported at the meeting, in addition to good results recorded in religious activities, Hoa Hao Buddhist followers have contributed VND 158 billion to social and charitable activities.
During the meeting, the Executive Committee of Hoa Hao Buddhism also approved the working plan forthe last six months of 2016
