Hoa Hao Buddhist Church in Tien Giang builds bridges for locals

Rach Chanh Giua Bridge built in Tien Giang province by Hoa Hao Buddhist Church’ Executive Committee was formally inaugurated at a ceremony held on May 27.

The ceremony taking place in Rach Chanh village in the province’s Cai Be district was attended by Chairman of the central Executive Committee of Hoa Hoa Buddhist Church Nguyễn Tấn Đạt, Head of the Representative Committee of the Hoa Hao Buddhist Church in Tien Giang province Võ Văn Thượng, Vice Chairman of the provincial committee for religious affairs Trần Văn Khuê, representatives of local authorities, sponsors and a large number of local people.

As reported, Rach Chanh Bridge was built with 29 meters long, 2.5 meters wide at the total cost of over VND 300 million which was contributed by sponsors from Ho Chi Minh City. The bridge will help locals with easier transportation of agricultural products and local students with a safer way to school.

On the occasion, the construction for one more bridge with the same name with 26 meters long, 3 meters wide was kicked off. The second bridge is expected to be completed in 3 months at an estimated cost of VND 240 million.
