The central Executive Committee of Hoa Hao Buddhist Church reviewed its affairs 2018 at a meeting held on February 28 at An Hoa Tu temple located in An Giang province’s Phu Tan district.
The event saw the participation of Chairman of the Central Committee of Hoa Hao Buddhist Church Nguyễn Tấn Đạt, 23 members of the Church Central Committee, and heads of the provincial-level representative committees across the country.
Distinguished guests at the event included Chairman of the provincial Committee for Religious Affairs Lê Nguyên Châu and representatives from local authorities.

The meeting reviewed social and religious activities of the central Committee of Hoa Hoa Buddhist Church in 2018 and pointed out working plans for 2019.
As reported at the meeting, last year Hoa Hao Buddhist followers have contributed over VND 480 billion (increase 17.9% as compared to 2017) to social charity activities including building of charity facilities, supports to the poor, etc.
The working plans for 2019 included the organization of the provincial – level 5th general meeting for the 2019 – 2024 tenure, the celebration of the 80th founding anniversary of Hoa Hao Buddhist Church, and the 100th birth anniversary of Hoa Hao Buddhism founder Huỳnh Phú Sổ.
