The meeting included members of the Hoa Hao Buddhist Church’s Central Executive Committee and heads of subcommittees held on June 21.

Accordingly, due to the complicated of Covid-19 epidemic, the Hoa Hao Buddhist Executive Committee has decided to cancel activities with large gatherings, as well as commemorative and parades etc. Hoa Hao Buddhist temples and offices will just raise  flags and banners to celebrate the founding anniversary.

At An Hoa Tu temple – the most holy place of Hoa Hoa Buddhism, its Management Board would hang a notice of closure from the 14^th to 18^th of the fifth lunar month (June 23 to 28, 2021) for the Covid-19 prevention.

During the meeting, the Executive Committee also called on deacons and members of the Hoa Hao Buddhist Church to practically contribute for the Covid-19 vaccine fund and strictly observe the 5K recommendations and guidelines of local authorities, as well as support disadvantaged people affected by the epidemic.

Earlier, representative committees of Hoa Hao Buddhist Church in several province and cities have lanched many practical activities on occasion of the church’s 82^nd founding anniversary.

On June 10, the Representative Committee of Hoa Hao Buddhist Church in Hau Giang province in collaboration with the provincial Fatherland Front Committee presented 70 charity houses with the total value of 2.1 billion VND to disadvantaged families in the locality.

In Can Tho city, on June 9, a charity building team of the Hoa Hao Buddhist Church’s representative board in Thot Not district’s Tan Loc ward started building  a new house for a disadvantaged family located in Truong Tho 2 area of the ward.

This is one of six charity houses built by the Hoa Hao Buddhist charity building team, each value from 16 to 25 million VND.
