The Central Executive Committee of the Hoa Hao Buddhism held on July 29 a solemn ceremony for inaugurating Hiep Hoa pagoda located in Phu Tan district’s Hiep Xuong commune of An Giang province.
Present at the event included Vice Chairman of the Committee for Religious Affairs in An Giang Lê Quang Tấn, Vice Chairman of the People’s Committee in Phu Tan district Ngô Thanh Trí, and over 200 members of the Hoa Hao Buddhism in Hiep Xuong commune.
The construction of Hiep Hoa pagoda with a sanctum and supporting facilities on an area of 816 square meters was started in 2017. The pagoda has been completed at the construction cost of over 10 billion VND and 8,000 working days contributed by Hoa Hao Buddhist followers and sponsors.
On the occasion, the Hoa Hao Buddhist Executive Committee presented certificates of merit to ten individuals for their contributions to the construction of the pagoda.
