Joining the delegation included Chairman of the city’s Party Committee’s Commission for Mass Mobilization Nguyễn Thị Lệ, Vice Chairman of the city’s Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee Nguyễn Ngọc Phong and representatives from the city’s Committee for Religious Affairs.

Welcoming the delegation were Most Venerable Deputy Patriarch of the VBS Discernment Council cum Chairman of the city’s VBS Executive Committee Thích Trí Quảng and several dignitaries from the city’s VBS Executive Committee.

Speaking at the reception, Secretary Đinh La Thăng highly appreciated activities and contributions of the city’s VBS in the past years. He also expressed hope that the Buddhist dignitaries would continue to encourage Buddhist monks, nuns and followers to join with local authorities for building the socio-economic development in the city.
