Chairman of Ho Chi Minh city People’s Committee Lê Hồng Quân led a delegation to visit the General Confederation of Evangelical Churches of Vietnam (Southern) (ECVN) on Feb. 10 on occasion of the Lunar New Year.
Pastor President of the ECVN Phan Vĩnh Cự, Pastor Vice President Nguyễn Hữu Bình, General Secretary Phan Quang Thiệu and pastors of the Church welcomed the delegation.
At the reception, Chairman Lê Hồng Quân briefed achievements of the Ho Chi Minh city in the fields of political, economic, cultural and social in 2014 and extended New Year greetings to all dignitaries and followers of the Church.
President of the Church Phan Vĩnh Cự took the chance to thank the local authorities and shared about the Church’s activities over the past years. Ho Chi Minh City is home to more than 50 churches under the ECVN (Southern) the largest number of churches in 34 provinces and cities across the country where members of the church are allocated.
