Avalokitesvara Pagoda in Ho Chi Minh’s Phu Nhuan district city held on November 15 a ceremony to receive the certificate of recognition as the city-level cultural-historical relics.
Attending the event included members of the Ho Chi Minh city Vietnam Buddhist Sangha Executive Committee, local authorities’ representatives and Buddhist followers in the locality.
At the ceremony, Vice Chairman of Phu Nhuan district People’s Committee Nguyễn Đông Tùng presented the recognition certificate to Venerable Thích Giác Trí, Abbot of Avalokitesvara Pagoda.
Speaking at the ceremony, Most Venerable Thích Giác Trí pledged to futher promote fine traditions for “better secular and religious life” and guide monks, nuns and followers to practice Buddhism in accordance with the religious Charter and regulations and State’s laws
