Head of Party Commission for Mass Mobilization extends Easter greetings to Hanoi Archdiocese

Politburo member cum Chairwoman of the Party Central Committee’s Commission for Mass Mobilization Trương Thị Mai, on April 20 visited and extended Easter greetings to the Hanoi Archdiocese.
She was accompanied by Vice Chairman of the Government Committee for Religious Affairs Bùi Thanh Hà, and welcomed by Archbishop of Hanoi Joseph Vũ Văn Thiên.

During the visit Chairwoman Trương Thị Mai conveyed warm and joyful Easter celebrations 2019 to the archbishop and Catholics of the Hanoi archdiocese, and hailed practical contributions of the Catholic community to the country’s socio-economic achievements over the years.
While expressing her pleasure at fine developments of the diplomatic relation between Vietnam and the Vatican, the Party official also highlighted the archdiocese and the archbishop’s role in guiding social activities and religious practices of local Catholics.
For his part, Archbishop Joseph Vũ Văn Thiên thanked the Party official for her visit and expressed hope to receive further support and favorable conditions extended to social and religious affairs of the Catholic archdiocese.
