HCMC: New Protestant Congregation established

A ceremony to formally announce the establishment of Tan Phong Protestant Congregation under the Evangelical Church of Vietnam (ECVN) (South) was held on August 7 in Ho Chi Minh City (HCMC)’s District 7.

The event saw participation of Pastor Member of the ECVN’s Executive Committee (South) Trương Văn Ngành, Pastor Head of the Protestant Representative Committee in HCMC Nguyễn Thế Hiển, and a large number of followers from To Hien Thanh Church, Tan Phong Congregation and other churches in the locality. Representatives of the city’s Committee for Religious Affairs also joint with the Protestants at the event.

During the event, Pastor Trương Văn Ngành proclaimed the decision on establishment of Tan Phong Protestant Congregation.

As reported at the ceremony, Tan Phong Protestant worshipping place will also serve as a place for studying Bible for Protestant followers in HCMC’s District 7, as well as a venue for cultural exchange activities between Vietnam and Korea.
