Hanoians gather at Tay Ho temple without masks

01/15/2021

Thousands of Hanoians flocked to Tay Ho temple to welcome a new lunar month on January 13, despite the direction of Hanoi city of reducing public gathering.

In the temple, many calligraphy writers selling lucky amulets to visitors also did not wear masks.

With the belief that without wearing masks during taking rituals, the deities could witness the sincerity, a large number of people ignored recommendations of the Covid-19 epidemic prevention, including gathering in public without masks.

Although Tay Ho temple’s Management Board and local authorities have strengthened propaganda on the Covid-19 epidemic prevention, the epidemic prevention has proved ineffective due to large numbers of people coming to worship at the temple.
