On December 22, Deputy Secretary of the Hanoi municipal Party Committee Ngô Thị Thanh Hằng led a delegation to visit to the Evangelical Church of Vietnam (North) (ECVN) and Protestant families in the city.
Pastor President of the ECVN (North) Nguyễn Hữu Mạc welcomed the delegation.
At the visiting reception held at the ECVN (North) Headoffice, Deputy Secretary Ngô Thị Thanh Hằng exchanged with the host on socio-economic development in 2015 in the city. She also praised the Church for following guidelines of the Party and policies and laws of the State, and actively responding to patriotic emulation movements in the city.
Pastor President of the Evangelical Church of Vietnam (North) Nguyễn Hữu Mạc took the chance to thank local authorities for their due attention and support extended to the Church over the past years and pledged to do more to encourage Protestants to play a greater role in the capital city’s growth.
On this occasion, Deputy Secretary Ngô Thị Thanh Hằng also visited and presented Christmas gifts to typical Protestants families in the city.
