In the early June, Hanoi Caritas started the construction of two charity houses in Lo Xa parish in Nam Dinh province and Vu Ban parish in Hoa Binh province.
On behalf of Hanoi Caritas, Priest Joseph Trần Hữu Nam, Head of Lo Xa parish located in Nam Dinh province’s Y Yen district, handed over on June 14 the new house for Mrs. Vũ Thị Ý.
Mrs. Vu Thi Y is 85 years old and lives alone because her husband died 20 years ago. Her old house was severely degraded, so Hanoi Caritas has provided financial support to rebuild her house.
The second charity house of Hanoi Caritas for Mr. Bùi Văn Hợi’s family in Vu Ban parish in Hoa Binh province’s Lac Son district will be completed in the end of June.
Mr. Bùi Văn Hợi’s family is a poor household in the district and his old house was built with temporarily materials, so Priest Francis Xavier Trần Văn Liên, Head of the parish and Hanoi Caritas have decided to built a new house for his family.
