Hai Phong Caritas held on October 31 a charity program for presenting essential supplies to disadvantaged people living in Da Phuc Ward of the city’s Duong Kinh district.
The event saw the presence of Priest Joseph Nguyễn Văn Vang, Director of Hai Phong Caritas; Priest Paul Nguyễn Văn Đông, Head of Cuu Vien Parish; and Vice Chairman of Da Phuc ward Hoàng Văn Lâm.
During the event, disadvantaged locals were presented with free vouchers worth 200,000 VND each for buying food and other necessities.
According to Priest Joseph Nguyễn Văn Vang, there has been 2,500 free vouchers presented to disadvantaged people in the city every Sunday since August 15.
