The Vietnam Buddhist Sangha (VBS)’s Chapter in Ninh Thuan province held a grand conference for ordination of novice monks and nuns at Sung An Pagada in the province’s Phan Rang – Thap Cham city on September 7-11.
The conference held on occasion of the 35th founding anniversary of the VBS elevated over 300 Buddhist followers to novice monks and nuns, and approximately 600 Buddhist adherents to those keeping certain Buddhist vows but not becoming monks or nuns.
The event also saw the attendance of large numbers of Buddhist dignitaries representing the central VBS’s Executive Council and the VBS’s Executive Committee in the province, and representatives of local authorities.
