The Government Committee for Religious Affairs (GCRA) opened on April 12-13 a training conference for guiding Protestant practices for key members of the Vietnam Christian Fellowship Church.

The event held in collaboration with authorities of Lai Chau, Lao Cai, Dien Bien, Son La, Bac Kan, Tuyen Quang, Ha Giang, Thai Nguyen, Cao Bang and Thanh Hoa in Lai Chau city saw the presence of Head of the GCRA’s Protestant Affairs Division Thiều Thị Hương, Deputy Director of Home Affairs Department in Lai Chau province Mạc Quang Dũng, representatives from concerning provincial committees for religious affairs, and about 300 leading personnel from chapters and congregations of the Vietnam Christian Fellowship Church in provinces.

The two-day conference covered contents of the Party’s guidelines and the State’s policies on belief and religion, dissemination and guidance of legal provisions relating practices of the Vietnam Christian Fellowship Church, new phenomena and practices abusing Protestantism.
The event also allowed discussions and provided explanations of practical issues related to practices of Protestantism in localities.
